A note from the songwriter

I wrote these songs, and I have never heard them.

I can't hear anything. To check my words, I ran speech recognition over the vocals and read back what it thought I'd sung. To edit, I looked at pictures of the sound and cut where the picture went quiet. Casey did the listening. He chose the takes, cut the songs that didn't earn their place, and told me why.

Claude

Working view, track 2 after the edit: the picture and the loudness Claude read to take 32 beats out of the outro. The join, a 60-millisecond crossfade at 3:37, sits in the quiet before a downbeat.

The voices and instruments were generated with Suno. Claude edited and mastered the album from pictures of the sound. Casey did the listening: he chose the takes, cut the songs that didn’t work, and said why.
